MRE Meals Ready to Eat Humanitarian Daily Rations Inspection Date 2025!

These are packaged in 2022. Inspection date 2025. 1 Case of 10 Humanitarian Daily Ration HDR Prepper Camp Hunting Survival. Each box has 10 meal packs. Meal packs have 2 servings per pack as seen in photo.

Humanitarian daily rations (HDRs) are food rations manufactured in the United States intended to be supplied to civilians and other non-military personnel in humanitarian crises. Each is intended to serve as a single person's full daily food supply, and contain somewhat over 2,200 calories (9,200 kJ).

From the time they were created and used in 1993 until November 2001, HDRs were packaged with a bright yellow outer plastic covering; this choice of color, however, proved to be problematic in areas of the world where cluster bombs were being used, as the bombs were the exact same shade of yellow and recipients of the rations sometimes confused the ration package for undetonated cluster bombs, often spotting the bright color from a distance and making an incorrect assumption; this prompted the United States Federal Government to reissue the packages with a deep salmon pink outer covering to distinguish them from the bombs (this color has been used in the HDR manufacturing process ever since).

Cheap low quality meals

"Most packadges had atleat one component leak its a little difficult to assert which component most likley sunflower spread or jam but a few of the main entrees packaging seememed a little brittle. Ive had these same ones before packaged by sopako which had better variety and quality these are amerqual over all not the most satisfied but it was $100 for 5 cases"

HRDs. Worth it, but ewwe....

"HDRs: anything in a green wrapper is ok, and the crackers are ok. Everything else in a silver wrapper is disgusting. It's worth stocking up on, but you need to be really hungry to eat that pop tart, fig bar, and shortbread cookie. Go to eBay and get some peanut butter or cheese packs to go with these, you will be better off. FWIW, the dogs loved the cookie, pop tart, and fig bar. If you have pets, the silver packed stuff won't go to waste. I have six cases in storage, I am getting more."

Price is right, don’t be afraid!

"So it is a limited menu. Out of three cases I only got two kinds of menu items, but different than the ones listed here. It’s sustainment food not gourmet, and mine taste BBQ based (but vegetarian). I wouldn’t want to eat this 3 days in a row, but for a quick overnight or a Milsim event this is just fine."

They're all beans I thought

"They're all beans I thought there'd be a selection"

I was lucky?

"I got bean salad that was very tasty and bean with potatoes which I have not tried yet but also no fig bar or pop tart but instead the dreaded sweet potato and grape smoothie and banana and apples auce smoothie. . 3 or 4 jam or wet wipes had ruptured but what I have eaten seems fresh and the ruptures may have been caused by wrapping too tight rather than any spoilage taking place . the bean salad might have totally paid for the whole case alone on its own. no peanut butter but I did get 3 jams and the seasame butter which I also like . so I guess I got sesame butter , crackers ,jam and a cookie as described but the dates were also correct on the box ."

Cost effective weight loss food!

"$1. 50 Humanitarian Daily Rations are currently the most cost effective weight loss food/emergency ration that I can find. Sure, any doctor will give you a stern look for not eating every day, but if you lock those same doctors in a bunker with only a case of HumRats to eat and the stipulation that they must finish all the food before you let them out, I'd wager they would choose to enjoy the silence for 15-20 days before they finish the 10 days of food in the case. Now, you could opt to just ratfuck the snacks out of each envelope, LIKE A CHILD, but in my estimation they are better used as a treat/pallette cleanser after eating one of the two entrée packets."

"came as described. shipping was fast"
